User roles
User roles
Administrators own collections from both operational and billing perspectives. A user who creates a collection becomes an administrator of that collection.
Administrator capabilities:
- Create and delete collections
- Manage content structure
- Manage approval requirements
- Reject and accept content publication submissions
- Billing and user management, including management tokens
- Full API access
Requirements:
- Pantheon.io user account
Use cases:
- Project owners who need full control over collections
- Users responsible for billing and procurement
- Technical leads managing multiple collections
Authorized Users, or “Contributors”, create content and either publish directly or submit it for publication if an approval workflow is in place. To edit any document, you must also have edit permissions in the Doc.
Authorized user capabilities:
- Connect and send documents for publishing (with edit access)
- Access content checker and analytics
- Add images and smart components to content
- Unpublish their own documents
Requirements:
- Google Docs add-on installation (for Google Docs workflow)
- Access granted to specific collections
Use cases:
- Content writers and creators
- Team members who contribute content but don't need management access
- External collaborators working on specific content
